What is a bunion or hallux valgus?

Hallux valgus, commonly known as bunion, is a deformity that consists of a deviation of the big to e toward the other toes, accompanied by bony prominence at the joint at the base of this toe. This condition can cause pain and difficulty in walking.

To improve this problem, there are several methods, being the use of orthopedic insoles one of the most outstanding solutions. These insoles are designed to correct or modify the footprint, thus providing support and stability to the foot, which can alleviate pain and correct the deviation caused by the bunion. In addition, it is recommended to choose appropriate, wide and comfortable footwear, avoid excessive use of shoes with high heels and narrow toes, and in some cases, physiotherapeutic treatments or, as a last resort, surgery may be considered.
